Coventry Biennial has just released it’s first of a series of communiqués in the build up to the 2021 bienial, entitled ‘Introducing Coventry Biennial 2021: HYPER-POSSIBLE. The forthcoming communiqués will unpack some of the curatorial threads of HYPER-POSSIBLE: Art & Language in the 1960’s/70s, The BLK Art Group in the 1980’s, and the Cybernetic Culture Research Unit in the 1990’s / 2000’s. Phoenix City 2021 is one of four artist commissions featured in this inaugural communiqué.
